The History of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Raktajino Mug and why we decided to call ours The Spaceport IYKYK Mug.

It was 1993 and scifi fans were anxiously awaiting a new show that was about to hit the airwaves. It was a show about a space station next to a jump point into another quadrant. No, I am not talking about Babylon 5. I am talking about Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

The show was about a Kardassian Space Station hovering over Bajor and on it where several establishments like Quark’s Bar, a Klingon Restaurant and The Replimat. And it was here, in the Replimat where people like Sisko, Bashir and Dax enjoyed their Klingon coffee out of the little blue mugs with the odd shape. A lot of people fell in love with those odd mugs right here and there...
